Eden Care
at Home

My wife, Sharon and I started Eden Care over 10 years ago as we have a special son, Patrick, who requires 24 hour care. At the time we were unhappy with the quality of the care available and decided to try and make a difference by setting up provision that was both person centred yet respected the need to work with the family and loved ones of the person receiving care and support. Patrick is one of five children living at home and we felt it important that anyone coming into our home engaged with and respected the whole family and not simply adopt a transactional or functional role as carer.
My background is somewhat eclectic, with a doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy, an undergraduate degree in Psychology, while also a qualified Chartered Accountant. During a long career, I have been fortunate to live and work abroad in my early career in both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Australia, whilst more recently I held senior international roles working for a global corporation, after working in a boutique management consultancy, and having enjoyed a spell in a family construction business whilst opening a bar and restaurant.
Without doubt Eden Care is the pinnacle of my career as this team is able put something back into society, working with individuals and their families and loved ones, who are at a stage in their lives where they require assistance with the daily tasks of life, enabling individuals to achieve their optimum level of independence, health and well-being. What could be more important and fulfilling.

I joined Eden Care at Home in September 2021. I started my career in care in 1983 and have 25 years of experience as a care manager and 13 years as a registered manager. I qualified in 2008 holding City & Guilds qualifications in management studies and Registered Manager Award. I have supported people with mental health, learning and physical disabilities, older care and complex needs. I am proud to be working with Eden Care at Home and look forward to supporting the team to deliver quality care for our clients.
I am registered with the Care Quality Commission, and I am responsible for ensuring the service is compliant in relation to the fundamental standards. I am passionate about social inclusion and have worked throughout my career to promote empowerment and choice. I feel privileged to be working within such a progressive and outcome-focused service.

I am an optimistic and fun-loving character with a passion for people. I am lively and always up for a chat, love a good horror film and enjoy spending my spare time with close friends and family. I am recently married and enjoying wedded bliss.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Social Work from the University of Silesia in Katowice in Poland. I moved to England in 2007. I started as a Support Worker at the National Society for Epilepsy and then a Team Leader and was promoted to Deputy Manager. After working 12 years at the Epilepsy Society, I moved to the NHS at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

I have worked in the care industry for the last 8 years and have a lot of experience in different roles in the care sector. I really enjoy working in care. I have great job satisfaction knowing that I help people with the support that they need to aid them in remaining at home.

I have worked in care for almost 9 years. I have always enjoyed supporting individuals with maintaining their independence and offering support in assisting people to achieve the best they can. I have worked in various roles within the health sector and have many fond memories of past clients, their families and colleagues who have become friends.
Outside of work I enjoy spending my time with close family and friends. I enjoy reading a good book, watching films and doing crafts.

I hold a BSc Hons Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Manchester and a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care. I worked for the NHS in diagnostic Biochemistry for over 20 years and then joined both professional and regulatory bodies in health care and project management. I entered the social care sector in 2014.

I’ve been at Eden for 8 months and it is a home from home for me. I’ve been in care for 10 years and I could never do another job again. Helping people gives me so much more than a pay slip at the end of each month.

I currently work part time in the office at Eden. I leave school this June then I will start an apprenticeship with Eden Care to kickstart a career in Adult Health and Social care.
